Welcome to the What's New section of HerpesWeb.

HerpesWeb is continually evolving to provide the most up-to-date features and information on herpes and this update is no exception. Over the coming months there will be new services, up-to-the-minute information and interactive features.

Add our address to your 'Favourites' box and revisit us on a regular basis to keep your knowledge of the disease and herpes-related events up-to-date!

Please complete the user questionnaire accessible from the 'Interactive' section. This will allow us to evaluate the most popular content and to develop the site accordingly.

New Features

Personal Risk Awareness Module

Want to know who is most at risk of getting genital herpes? This new 15-minute interactive module may help you whether you are a healthcare professional or a patient. Available in both audio and text modes, the module explains how to minimise the risk of acquiring the herpes simplex virus, its more typical signs and symptoms and what to do next. It also contains information about new diagnostic tests for herpes, which may help discussions between patient and doctor.

Information on Diagnostic Testing for GPs

To complement the Personal Risk Assessment Module we have increased the information in the Health Professionals section on diagnosing genital herpes in clinical practice and the diagnostic tests currently available.
